Applicants must have completeda bachelors degree (comparable to a U.S bachelors
degree) on or before august 2012 and cannot reside in the US at the time of application
to the program. It is highly recommended that the applicant have recived his/her bachelor
degree in the same or a related field for which he/she plans to pursu PhD. study
Applicants must demonstrate engilish proficiency with with a recent TOEFL score
(or equivalent) of 580 or higher.
Grantees receive three years of funding from ECA followed by support from their
U.S host institution until the completion of PhD. program.
