STUDY IN PATHOLOGY

What is pathology ?

In medicine, pathology is the study and diagnosis of disease. The related
scientific study disease is called ''general pathology''. Medicine pathology
is divided into two main branches, anatomical pathology and clinical pat-
hologists work through examination of organs, tissues, bodily fluids, and
whole bodies (autopsies).

The term ''pathology'' has a broader meaning in the sciences to refer to the
study of disease, not specifically in the domain of biology. For example in
psychology, the term ''psychopathology'' or ''pathology'' considers paths
within this domain (mental, emotional and behavioral), to be forms of
''illness'' or disease.''
